Mid Winter Afternoon at the PH

SistersNeither rain nor snow nor sleet nor noreasters ever makes for a dull afternoon at the Provincial House as long as Lea R, nursing assistant, accomplished photographer and arts and crafts expert, is around.

Lea has been employed at the Provincial House since, as she says, forever. She has grown to know the Sisters well over the years and never hesitates to put her many skills and talents at their service.

With Lea, there are always creative projects to be done: making scarves and other articles for children in hospitals, preparing Christmas decorations and Easter specialties, duplicating the natural look of beautiful flowers as pottery projects or sharing her favorite not so secret recipe for bird feeders to keep our feathered friends content and warmer on cold New England winter days.

SistersThe weekly activity is open to any member of the PH Community whenever she wishes to participate. Visiting the group in action is always fun and colorful. The budding artists are most eager to display their masterpieces and to chat about upcoming projects or about the little unexpected twists and turns any one of these classes might hold.

Thank you, Lea, for your creativity, gentleness and patience. Your artsy projects, utilizing a plethora of media, make our life all the more colorful, entertaining and warm the cockles of our mid winter hearts.
