Sharing a Mid Lenten Reflection

“Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that everyone
who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life.”
(John 13:14-16)

lenten reflectionsLent is now half over.
What has this Lent been like for each of us?
Have we taken time to let God speak to us?
Have we made any changes which manifest more deeply our love for God and others?
Has this Lenten season been spiritually nourishing?

Our world has been filled with the lack of love and caring. We have witnessed rampant violence, school shootings, hatreds, bitterness, anxiety and stress. In light of this, many of us wonder, what can I do?  How can I make a difference?

As we move through the rest of Lent toward the beautiful feast of the Resurrection let each of us make an effort to be “light bearers”, to bring the news of God’s great miracle of love to others.

As the gospel for the fourth Sunday of Lent tells us: “but the one who lives by the truth comes out into the light, so that it may be plainly seen that what he/she does is done in God.”  (John 3:21)

We can only imagine and dream about the transformation in our world if the majority of believers adhered to these words of Scripture.  Lord, we believe; help our unbelief!
