NEW LIFE FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC COMMUNITY IN WILLIMANTIC, CT

Sister Jeannine and candidatesSr. Jeannine Légère,DHS,  stood as sponsor for two of four candidates receiving Baptism and First Eucharist during Easter Vigil Service at St. Mary ’s Church in Willimantic. These two African teens had recently arrived from the Republic of Benin in West Africa. One of them, also, joined four others in receiving Confirmation. The parish community received them with open arms.

CORPUS CHRIST CATHOLIC YOUTH GROUP PREPARES FOR YOUTH CONFERENCE

fontThe Youth Group of Corpus Christi Catholic Community (a consolidation of three churches), held a Spaghetti Supper to raise funds for the Steubenville Youth Conference to be held in New York for a weekend in July. Many parishIoners, including Sisters Michéle and Jeannine, DHS, supported this effort to defray the cost of the conference, allowing any interested youth to participate. Thirty youth will go from the parish. Ninety are expected from across the Diocese.
