Associates' Annual Raffle

A group of East Coast Associates gathered at 12 PM on September 15 at the Provincial House gym for a pot luck luncheon in anticipation of the drawing of
winners of our annual raffle at 1PM. Associates Muriel Bingham, Pat Krodel, Lorena Dutelle, Deb Raymond, Linda Lamoureux, Diane Lavallee, Jean Ryan, and Peg Wilson as well as Sr. Marian St. Marie, Associate advisor, enjoyed a delicious variety of salads and desserts and great conversation.

Shortly before 1PM, Sr. Lorraine Déziel brought all the tickets that had been returned. She had graciously taken on the job of separating them for the drawing. Several Sisters arrived to join the Associates for the drawing…hoping for a win for themselves or for someone to whom they had sold a ticket!

Precisely at 1PM, Diane Summa, chairperson of the Raffle Committee, asked various people to pick a ticket from the bucket and proceeded to share the winners’ names. The complete list of winners was printed in the Wednesday Weekly of September 19.

This raffle has become a tradition among the Associates of the East Coast to assist them to raise the funds needed to carry out their activities during the year. While it may seem to be an easy task, the raffle does require time, dedication and organization on the part of the chairpeople.

associatesCongratulations to all participants for making this year's raffle a success. A special thank you to all who purchased tickets. You, after all, are those who allow our group to claim success and the means necessary to allow our group to participate in meaningful activities for themselves and for the Sisters of the Province during the year. Kudos to one and all!
