The Alumni Association of Annhurst College held it annual reunion on familiar ground this year as they met on the former campus of the College, now the south campus of the Woodstock Academy.
In the course of their business meeting, the alumni group voted to offer a donation of $1000.00 to the Daughters of the Holy Spirit as a small token of their appreciation for the education and preparation they received from the Sisters during these students’ 4 year stay at Annhurst.
On Tuesday, October 22, President of the Association Mary LaChance came to the Administrative Offices of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in Putnam to deliver the generous check to our Director of Development/Advancement, Dr. Françoise G. Gauthier who expressed gratitude on behalf of the Sisters for this kind and thoughtful gift.
Both Mary and Dr. G agreed that the relationship that existed between the students and faculty at Annhurst was always a great deal more than just academics and that this strong and very special bond is still felt today by both groups.
May the true Spirit of Annhurst live on forever and continue to impact many lives in ever new and positive ways!
