During Advent Isaiah called us to scale “the mountain of God’s house so that we could be instructed in God’s ways and walk his paths.” We now rejoice in the arrival of the Christmas Miracle. Once again Isaiah speaks to us. “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of one who brings good news, who heralds peace, brings happiness, proclaims salvation, and tells Zion, ‘Your God is King’.”  (Isaiah 52:7)

Now that we have arrived at the peak of God’s mountain what is it that we find? It is the birth of the Savior of the world; it is the new born babe come to bring us peace and love. It is:

Wee baby born;

So like other babes;  Yet so much different;

A babe of light, of peace,

of hope, of love, of redemption.

How can this be?,  I say.

Just follow me.    Love me.

I bring peace.  I bring redemption.  I bring love.

Just follow me.    Love me!

Distraught, troubled  world

Despair and sorrow, anxiety and turmoil.

What can be done?,  I ask.

Just follow me.  Love me.

I bring peace.  I bring redemption.  I bring love.

Just follow me.  Love me!

Wee baby born;

So like other babes;  Yet so different

A babe of light, of peace

of hope, of love, of redemption.
