The day was made to order. A near perfect spring morning with full sun and gentle breezes greeted the 3 members of the General Council and the Sisters of the Province who gathered at our DHS Administrative Center to offer simple words and gestures of thanks for the three-week visit from France and to bid farewell to the Leadership Team.

The original plan included welcoming all members of the Team to the USA, but international travel restrictions prevented the African members from obtaining necessary visas.

The three visitors spent time visiting all the communities and meeting with individual sisters in order to become better acquainted with life in America.

Of course, a gathering needs to be accentuated by home baked goodies and a warm beverage. So it was that all shared carrot cupcakes, chocolate chip bars and, the pièce de résistence, dirt cake, a first experience for the French Sisters and for many of the others as well.

The visiting sisters are flying home this evening, and on Sunday will be participating via ZOOM in a Council of the Congregation meeting 5 day meeting.

We are grateful for the time and energy expended by the General Team during their stay with us. We offer our best blessings to all of them as they journey back to their headquarters in RENNES, France. Au revoir and do come back soon.
