Trinity Sunday proved to be the perfect day for the Daughters of the Holy Spirit of the USA Province to celebrate hundreds of years of service from their Sisters, Consecrated Seculars and Associates.

The weekend featured a Friday retreat by Kathy Irr, a celebratory dinner for the Jubilarians and the Provincial Team on Saturday and a corsage pinning and official photo taking on Sunday morning with a Jubilee Liturgy celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church in Willimantic, CT.

Ten Jubilarians attended the festivities representing 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 50 and 25 years of service to their God and fellow human beings. Sr. Fernande Laliberté, 100 years of age, celebrated 80 years of consecration.

The Liturgy was celebrated by the Very Rev. Laurence LaPointe, who was joined by homilist Rev. Ted Tumicki and included the renewal of vows and covenants from by the Jubilarians as well as the offering of symbolic gifts.

The Jubilee Mass was followed by a lovely reception for the celebrating women and their families and guests. Many words of congratulations and joy were shared and offered all around while glasses were raised and hugs were shared in  the true spirit of conviviality.

Be sure to check out our REALITY Summer Newsletter for more photos. Messages of congratulations may be sent to our Jubilarians via our Development Office email address. We will be sure to forward your notes as soon as we receive them.
