On Sunday July 2, the leadership of the USA Province was officially transferred to Sisters Michèle Bisaillon, provincial, Bonnie Morrow, Yvette Rainville and Janet Lewis who will fill the roles for a three year mandate.
The missioning ceremony was offered in a spirit of gratitude and blessings, the recognition of gifts received and gifts shared. Individual anointings were followed by whole assembly blessings for in-coming and out-going teams.
Applause, congratulations and thank you’s from all DHS Family members in attendance were loud and abundant as current and former team members donned their aprons to serve ice cream sundaes to one and all.
As we juggle endings and new beginnings we recall and are encouraged by the lyrics of our closing song by Kathy Sherman: “Let us walk and reach together for the star…let us dream…let us hope…we are on our way…let’s go…we’ll be one by the light of that star.”
