As it has been for many years, early autumn once again was a sure invitation to PCA alumni to gather to celebrate graduation anniversaries and to remember classmates and teachers who shared many hours of companionship and friendship as students at the DHS administered high school in Putnam, CT.
This reunion is not dedicated to any one class year in particular, but is an invitation to anyone who attended the Academy. Those responding represented a broad span totaling 160 years.
One of the highpoints of the celebration was the recognition of attendees marking anniversary years. These included 70 years: Sr. Thérèse Vanasse, DHS, 65 years: Sr. Anne Cacciapuoti, DHS, Sr. Lesley Despathy, DHS, Caroline Perron; 60 years: Rita Barylski, Judith Church, Louise Costello, Marie Desautels, Jeanne Lee and Diane Metz.
A traditional raffle featuring some 20 gift items was held to help defray expenses for the annual reunion. We are grateful to the alumni who offered gifts and/or cash to provide items for the raffle.
Echoes expressing how much fun the afternoon had been and how folks were already anticipating next year’s rendezvous were heard as alumni left Hank’s Restaurant.
